Cozy Glow, now known as the Empress of Friendship, has become the widely recognized ruler of Equestria. With the power of an alicorn at her command, she seeks to secure her rule through political maneuvering and an increasingly rigid social hierarchy. However, governing Equestria proves far more difficult than the young Empress ever imagined. Starlight Glimmer, Discord, Sunset Shimmer, and their allies choose to stand in defense of harmony and challenge the new order. Meanwhile, within Canterlot itself, ponies such as Fancy Pants operate beyond the Empress’s immediate attention, hoping to restore their influence and reshape Equestria’s future.
